RE-BLOGGED FROM HELENKEEGAN.NET
In March 2017, the GameChangers team went on a road trip, taking a classic 39-foot Ford school bus from east coast to west (UK) as an experiment in mobile learning.
Over 4 days we worked with 300 students and 20 staff, hosting pop-up workshops and sprints on topics including game design, playful narratives, playful design and Lego (un)serious play.
Part-funded by HEFCE, and working in collaboration with Coventry FabLab, the Big Yellow Bus Tour was the first stage in our experimentation with pop-up learning labs. Students from 6th Colleges and Universities took part in the workshops, from disciplines including: Law, Graphic Design, Early Years Childcare, Engineering, Digital Media, Computing and Languages. Our youngest visitor was 18 months old, our oldest was in his 70s.
